To holistically develop people through: evangelism, education, eradication of strongholds, edification, and the exaltation of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Sanctuary Baptist Fellowship Church exists to obey God, expand the Kingdom, and change lives. Five primary strategies are central to our success: celebration, changing lives, service, discipleship, and prayer.
Celebration occurs every time we enter the presence of God. Scriptures call this worship and there are many expressions of worship including: singing, commitment, praying, hearing the word of God, giving, baptism, meditating, and the celebration of the Lord's Supper. (Matthew 4:10 and John 4:23-24)
Evangelism is the communication of God's word to a lost world. The Bible declares that God is not willing for anyone to perish and that god's desire is for His house to be full. The bible places the responsibility of evangelism on the church. "His intent was that through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known." (Ephesians 3:10 and II Peter 3:9)
Ministry is the hands on demonstration of Christianity to one another and to the community we serve. God has put a high priority on ministry. The Bible says, "By this shall all men know that you are my disciples - that you have love for one another." (John13:35)
Discipleship is the education of God's people in God's word. Discipleship brings about fulfillment and maturity in the church. "Let us leave the elementary teaching about Christ and go onto maturity." (Hebrews 6:1)
The first thing the early church did when they assembled was pray together. Prayer is the fuel that drives the ambitious priorities of the church and the spiritual power that changes the world. Christ demonstrated the power of prayer by making it a priority in His earthly ministry. If the Church is going to be effective, it must pray. (Acts 1:14, John 17:1, and I Peter5:7)

We believe that "all scripture is given by inspiration of God." The whole bible is inspired, in that holy men "were moved by the Holy Spirit" to write the very words of scripture. We believe that this divine inspiration extends equally and fully to all parts of scripture as it appeared in the original manuscripts, therefore, without error. We believe that all Scripture centers on the Lord Jesus Christ in His person, work, and His first and second coming. Therefore, no portion of the scripture is properly read or understood until it leads to Christ. We also believe that all scripture was designed for our practical instruction. (Luke 24:7, 44; John 5:39; Romans 15:4; I Corinthians 10:11; II Timothy 3:16)
We believe in the one true and living God, the Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, and Ruler of all things. He is infinite, eternal, holy, unchangeable, and is revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures as a substitute sacrifice and that all who believe on Him are redeemed by His shed blood. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and in His ascension into heaven; He is our High Priest and Advocate. (John 1:1-3, 14, 3:1-7; Hebrews 10:4-14; John 2:2)
We believe that salvation is the gift of God's grace. It cannot be gained or made secure by meritorious works, but is freely bestowed upon all who believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ at Calvary. All who trust the Savior are forgiven of their sins and born into the family of God by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit. (John 1:12; Acts 16:30-33; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 1:7, 2:8, 9)
We believe and practice two spiritual ordinances, baptism by immersion and communion. Baptism by immersion is a symbol of the believers union with Christ in His death and resurrection; we have to put to death our old life and have risen to walk in the newness of life and in the fullness and power of the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Lord's Supper, when we participate in Communion, brings us to rejoice in the blood of the new covenant between God and His children. We also believe that the elements, bread and the cup of wine, represent Jesus' body and blood. We celebrate our forgiveness, commemorate His resurrection and joyfully anticipate His return.
